Import Physio case files

You can now import Physio case files into the emsCharts for Windows application using the ZOLL Cloud ECG functionality. To use this feature, an Administrator must configure the Service to accept case files from the monitor (click here for configuration instructions) and set the Transmission Method to 'WiFi' in the Admin tab of each Windows device.

Note: We are planning to support LifePak 35 case file imports in the early summer of 2025.

Windows configuration synchronization

We created a new method for handling configuration changes in the emsCharts for Windows application. The entire set of configurations are applied when the Windows application is initially installed, and updates are applied every time the application is opened. The changes to this process will greatly reduce the time required to install the Windows application, and will also reduce the time it takes to refresh the configurations when the application is opened. Several bug fixes have also been applied to ensure that configuration changes are updating as expected throughout the application.

The following issues were fixed in release 4.7.0:

  • Some users were prevented from creating support tickets from within the Windows application.

  • The Documents window was not closing when the Windows application was closed.

  • Adding custom PDFs to a chart could cause an error.

We are aware of the following issues and are working to resolve them in an upcoming release:

  • Hospital selection: Selecting a Hospital using the magnifying glass may not update the Hospital name right away. This is just a visual issue and the data is saved normally. The Hospital name will update visually when you navigate away.
  • ZOLL Cloud ECG Import unexpected error: If the EKG Report Image Type for your service is set to anything other than 'Default (Leave as JPG, Bitmap)', users will receive an "Unexpected error" when trying to import into ZOLL emsCharts for Windows. Administrators can update this setting in the Web ECG Configuration code table.

  • Multiple brands of ECG devices: If you use both ZOLL ECG devices and other manufacturers' devices, you will need two instances of ZOLL emsCharts for Windows installed.

  • Windows on ARM is not currently supported. For example, Microsoft Surface Pro X devices. For more information about Windows on ARM, see Microsoft's Windows Arm-based PCs FAQ.

  • Data Validations:

    • Some Data Validation Rules may not fire as expected in ZOLL emsCharts for Windows. We are tracking these and will address them as they arise. If you run into this issue, you will be prompted to finish your chart on the Web.

    • Some Data Validation Rules are not yet click-able. Clicking them will not bring you to the field.

  • PIPP Pain Scale: Behavioral State and Heart Rate Maximum in the PIPP Pain Scale do not populate with data.
